Rosy Instaxes

Pink Roses2

Is it silly that I'm just now posting these images that were taken in February? Okay maybe a little bit but I finally organized and streamlined my process for editing photos. Teaching myself Lightroom a couple of years ago seemed okay at the time but quite disastrous once I found out how to actually organize files using catalogs! Gone are the days of using one catalog for every single shoot. LOL.

Pink Roses

I almost always use Lightroom now and Photoshop only if there's something extra I need to photoshop out of an image. Why? Because...

  • you can edit photos in batches
  • you can use a  preset for one photos and use the same edits for other images
  • you can export images in batches with a numerical order (for example: if I wanted to save these two photos, I simply export them and LR automatically numbers them in order of export)
What about you? What editing software do you use and how do you organize your files?

Everyday Flavors

I have a kitchen I can call my own for the last 13 months now. It's been an interesting process understanding what systems to use to stock groceries, which meal to cook depending on how much time we have, and what ingredients to have at all times.

I finally started realizing that these were the three essential ingredients I use quite frequently:
(1) Lemons- Whether it's for making lemon water or for sprinkling on salads and meals, this is such a perfect and purifying ingredient
(2) Ginger - Perfect for masala chai, ginger tea, and for cooking basically anything. It's great for recovering from a cold and a great anti-inflammatory ingredient
(3) Chili - I kind of just need this in anything. It's like Sriracha to the rest of the world.

So now I keep a bowl with all three ingredients ready to use in a moment's notice. Curious to know, what are your everyday flavors?

P.S. Thank you so so so  much for your kind words on my last post! xoxoxoxo^infinity

Peppermint Dawn Jewelry

My lovely friend Randa, who I've known for the longest longest time, just launched a new (and personalized) jewelry line for her Etsy shop-Peppermint Dawn (how lovely is the name??) She asked me to take photos of her new line which I was more than ecstatic to do!

I asked her why she chose to design these pieces and she says... "Nothing brings me more joy than watching a loved one open up a gift that I poured my heart into. By making presents that mean something to the special people in your life I get to pass on that feeling."

Some of my favorites...A coordinate necklace of where and your significant other as seen above or a laser engraved handwritten name of a loved one in their own handwriting!

...or coasters of your family in silhouettes...
