Good as new

My front door is a charming shade of teal that with minimal editing can appear like a nice shade of robin egg's blue or a more deeper turquoise.

After a packed weekend of documenting two back to back weddings, I'm now relaxing and waiting to feel good as new as again.

El Matador State Beach

Living in Los Feliz means that even though the closest beach is 13 miles away, it pretty much takes an hour to get there. For this girl, it's a sight for sore eyes. I've always loved the beach and when I lived in Orange County I used to frequent Crystal Cove and Seal Beach all the time. Since moving to LA, it's been harder and harder to make the trip out.

El Matador State Beach blew me away. It's so surreal to be surrounded by the ocean and the cliffs. And caves!

All in all, a gorgeous and fun beach day. Here's hoping to explore more beaches in LA now.

Eggless Banana Bread

These bananas were turning a serious shade of brown and it breaks my heart each time it goes to waste. Most times I cut them up and freeze them to make smoothies or this banana nice cream recipe. But that was during the summer and this is now. You know, 70 degree California winter... :P So I wanted to try my hand at a warmer recipe... a banana bread recipe!

Though I'm not one to buy banana bread at a cafe, it was pretty rewarding to make my own. It's always nice to know that if I have very brown bananas in the future, I can definitely turn it into something rather than wasting it.  I wish the same can be said about avocados!

So what else do you make with super ripe bananas??
