Tea For Days

Untitled

There was a time where only one cup of coffee would have me bouncing off the walls with energy. It didn't take long before I needed two cups to get through the day and on really tough crunch-time days, I'd opt for a third cup of coffee. I'm very well aware of the side effects that coffee gives you but it was often ignored until I personally started feeling them!

Now I'm taking it a little easy on the caffeine consumption and opting for coffee only on those special days when we're exploring around LA. On a day to day basis, I'm sticking to some green tea to get just the slightest kick of caffeine.

So far it hasn't been THAT bad. The first few times I actually went without having any caffiene which then led to head aches. Basically, that's when I knew it was definitely time to cut down. What about you? Have you ever done a caffeine audit?

  1. I haven't had an adverse effect from caffeine yet, apart from being kept up at night. I've never liked coffee but I suppose I shall grow to, with age. Thankfully you've taken action to combat your caffeine situation - tea always does wonders! You and I know that well, haha. :)

    1. I'm so glad we can share our love for tea together! :) I definitely agree that taking a liking to coffee often happens right after college and in the office environment. It will come in due time. But maybe not! My friend never got into coffee (or any other type of caffeine) and I admire her very much for it!

  2. i think i need a caffeine audit now. i used to hate coffee and then i got so addicted. i was good about keeping it to just a cup but lately i've been drinking 2. i like to think that drinking a lot of water makes up for it but that may be just wishful thinking :)

    1. It's so so so addicting! totally with you, sometimes i used to justify drinking coffee if i worked out or if i was drinking a lot of water. Those two do actually help but I haven't been doing either of them lately!

  3. Usually I only drink one cup of coffee each day, but I try to drink tea instead. It really doesn't cause me that much problem, but tea is always better :)

  4. I recently went though a major cleanse and let go of coffee and nowadays i don't miss it at all... it made me too stress/amped or super highs and lows... now i'm much more even through the day... and sober (I actually know what my body is really feeling :) - good for you for cutting down.

    1. Thanks, dear! It's strange, so far I don't miss it at all and you're so right! I do feel much more even throughout the day too!!

  5. You know I'm team tea all the way!! It's great to hear that you're cutting down on coffee (I'm pretty anti-coffee if it's not an ice cream flavor haha!) I really hate the way that like you said - you always need to keep upping the amount you drink in order to get enough "caffeine". Lately I've been loving herbal tea! And I can't wait to try out the ones you sent me!! :D Gorgeous photos as always, friend! I really love that heart shaped tea strainer - so cute!!

    1. I really hope you like it!! I got to try a sample for one of them (can't remember which one now) and loved it! So far, no coffee has been going great! I've been so much more productive without having to get up and get more. :)
