THE SOUTHERN EPICUREAN & LUXURY TOUR

It's hard to believe that it was only a week ago that I was traveling through the south with the Feedfeed and the Luxury Collection eating our way through three cities in style. We had some unforgettable meals and stayed in some veryyy luxurious hotels. I am completely floored by this experience, happy to have made some new friends and truly in awe of the Southern hospitality. It *is* a thing.

// CHARLOTTE //  The Ballantyne

Our first stop in Charlotte was so delightful and memorable. I was completely enamored by the beauty of the grounds and impressed by their attention to detail and service at the Ballantyne.

Highlights include:
  • a delicious walking food tour in the NoDa district
  • indulgent breakfasts at the hotel
  • a stunning nature-y tabletop dinner also at the hotel
  • morning strolls exploring the grounds
  • a coin toss at the fountain
  • a visit to the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
  • Chef Garrett explaining that luxurious cuisine is now heading towards plant based diets. "Cruciferous" vegetables - that have a nutritional density
  • a super fun wine blending class

// ATLANTA // The Whitley Hotel

We then traversed our way west to Atlanta where we were greeted with a gorgeous cheese spread and of course a toast of champagne at The Whitley Hotel.

Highlights include:
  • visiting the Fox Theatre
  • a beautiful Chef's Tasting dinner at Trade Root
  • a walk around the Ponce City Market
  • s'mores by the balcony
  • a lovely and cozy breakfast in bed

// SAVANNAH // The Perry Lane Hotel

Our final stop in Savannah couldn't be anymore perfect. Perry Lane Hotel surprised us with a gorgeous epicurean picnic in Forsyth Park. What a way to close out this beautiful southern tour!

Highlights include:
  • surprise picnic at Forsyth Park
  • dinner at The Grey
  • pumpkin painting
  • happy hour on the rooftop
  • lunch like a local at Mrs. Wilkes
  • an unforgettable Chef's Tasting Dinner at their Emporium Kitchen and Wine Market
  • a spooky taxicab ride to dinner on Halloween
